Profile
Kenichi advises financial institutions and real estate businesses, focusing on financial regulation and property. His work covers conduct-of-business regulation under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, obtaining licences for new business lines, and engagement with the regulators.
On the property side he has worked on the formation of numerous J-REIT and other securitisation structures. He takes the view that regulatory work is not about listing reasons something cannot be done, but about showing the route by which the commercial objective can be reached.
